Yacht MUSEUM at Moscow Boat Show platform!

For the first time Yacht MUSEUM exposition will be organized within the Moscow Boat Show. The exposition will present an opportunity to examine historic facts, significant events of the yacht industry, types of yachts and boats, materials and production peculiarities. Besides the best world yacht projects, boat show, regattas, paintings and photos of sea related theme, seminars and master classes will be presented in Yacht MUSEUM.

Thematic sections of the Yacht MUSEUM:

Physical laws of yachting. Why a boat doesn't sink, how a sailing yacht can move against wind and even quicker than wind, how works motor vessel screw propeller and etc. Archimedes, Bernoulli, Newton's laws explaining the physics of yachting will be demonstrated visually.

Yachting materials. Yachts and boats are made of wood, aluminum, steel and composite materials. Thus in each case production processes sufficiently differ from each other and have their advantages and shortcomings - steel can corrode, wood - to wet rot, aluminum is very expensive, fiberglass concedes in durability, etc. Yacht materials and their comparative analysis will be presented on the Yacht MUSEUM platform.

Types of yachts and boats. There are a huge number of types of yachts and boats, moreover, there are different interpretations in definitions what to call a yacht, and what a boat or a sailing vessel. The categories in which vessels are placed are determined by the construction and design of the vessel. Initially a yacht was considered an easy sailing vessel equipped with a deck and a cabin; a boat a single-masted vessel, but presently practically any sailing vessel or a rather big motorized vessel intended for rest or sport is called a yacht, and a boat any small motorized vessel. The classification of yachts and boats in terms of hull type, function, gear drive and navigability will be visually presented within the Yacht MUSEUM exposition.

Models and producers of yachts and boats. There are several thousands of producers of yachts, boats, yachting equipment in the world. They built tens of thousands of models. Some models of yachts and boats will be presented in the form of models, photos and projects within the Yacht MUSEUM exposition. There will be also available general data on the main producers.

Yachting projects. Each new product starts with a design project, and some most interesting and innovative projects of yachts failed to be implemented. One will have an opportunity to study some projects presented at the All-Russian competition of yacht projects and also with the most interesting innovative projects in the world within the Yacht MUSEUM exposition.

Boat show and regattas. Yacht exhibition events are held worldwide, hundreds of producers and tens of thousands of visitors take part in them. A huge number of fans of yachting annually take part in regattas. The Yacht MUSEUM exposition will present the most known world boat shows, including Monaco Yacht Show, DusseldorfBoatShow, FortLauderdaleBoatShow, Cannes Yachting Festival, and also the largest Russian events - Moscow Boat Show, VOLGA boatshow, SOCHI yachtshow and yacht exhibitions in St. Petersburg.

Yachting mass media. One of the most colourful data carriers for fans of yachting are printed magazines. Besides websites, social networks, TV channels devoted to the yacht industry gain popularity recently. Famous Russian and foreign mass media will be presented at the exhibition and visitors will have an opportunity to come to know the history of their creation and development.

Stand of nautical knots. A nautical knot is a temporary connection of two ropes and a temporary connection of a rope to a fixed object. The way of formation of the elements ensures a nautical knot increase in reliability with strengthening of a rope tension. And in a loose state, on the contrary a nautical knot can be easily untied. The exposition of nautical knots will be presented in the Yacht MUSEUM. The attendees will also have an opportunity to practice various knots tying and untying.

TOP 10 mega yachts. A mega yacht is a luxurious sea vessel that in most cases is privately owned. Such a vessel is generally long, has multiple levels, and is loaded with a wide range of amenities, such as swimming pools, movie theaters, and sliding walls. The features included or omitted on a particular boat are generally the decision of the owner, because most of these boats are built to suit their buyers' preferences. It should be not less than 40 meters in length. Despite the design of a particular boat, all mega yachts are usually constructed with high-quality materials. This may include the use of items such as granite, marble, and crystal. These vessels commonly have top-notch audio-visual and security systems. The Yacht MUSEUM exposition will provide information on ten biggest and most expensive mega yachts in the world.

TOP 10 cruise liners. A cruise ship is a passenger ship used for vacations and pleasure trips, which is usually very large, and able to accommodate hundreds to thousands of people, depending on the size of the ship. Cruise ships generally make round trips, returning to their first port of departure after a certain number of days at sea. While on the trip, most cruise ships stop at various ports where passengers are allowed to leave the ship and spend the day exploring an area. Most cruise ships have come to resemble floating cities. Though different cruise lines offer different amenities, cruising is often all-inclusive, and includes not just round-the-clock meals, but daily and nightly entertainment, various pools, fitness facilities, games and other fun activities. Information about ten biggest and most interesting cruise liners, including their photos, equipment, routes and other interesting facts will be provided in the Yacht MUSEUM exposition.

The sea in painting and photo. A sea landscape is absolutely special genre of painting and photo because it is impossible to depict a lively sea without having talent and ability to imagination. Sea landscapes are exceptional because they open unreal beauty and force of the wild nature, energy of waves, winds or calmness of water open spaces. A gallery of painting and photos of sea topics will be presented in the Yacht MUSEUM exposition.

Educational seminars and master classes. Various educational events for adults and children including general courses in yachting, skills in nautical knots, possibilities of yacht voyages, presentations of yachting events and other topics will be organized within the frames of the Yacht MUSEUM program.
