The Second exhibition of boats and yachts Moscow Boat Show one of the most significant events for yachting business professionals and active leisure fans will be held February 7 through 15, 2009 in the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre (Exhibition hall 13, Pavilion 3).

The project is the result of joint efforts of the largest exhibitions and fairs operator and non-profit organization incorporating Russian companies involved into small navigation business: importers, dealers, distributors and producers. The organizers of the show are the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre and the National Marine Industry Association.

Crocus Expo IEC provides for all necessary conditions required for an exhibition event of large scale. Crocus Expo is the only exhibition venue in Russia meeting all European standards in terms of exhibit space availability, infrastructure and design. The new third pavilion of the fairgrounds will host the International exhibition of boats and yachts Moscow Boat Show-2009. The show will be held in the Exhibition hall 13. The third pavilion of the Crocus Expo perfectly fits any profile show event to exhibit large-size and heavy-duty items and boats and yachts are undoubtedly relevant to such items.

The exhibition timing is well reasoned. The Second International Specialized Exhibition will take place at the beginning of February in low season. According to the market players winter is a perfect period for companies' results summarizing, prospects defining and business negotiations with colleagues and dealers holding. Moreover the Moscow Boat Show as opposed to other branch exhibitions runs for 9 days and the time frame meets international standards and proves to be convenient for visitors from remote parts of Russia and the world.

The key target of the exhibition is to improve the state of information support in the sector, to draw attention of all major market players and supervising organizations to common problems of yachting business.

The exhibition Moscow Boat Show was launched in February 2009. The pilot project proved to be commercially effective. More than 200 contracts for marine goods and more than 60 contracts on cooperation were executed; a number of vessels were sold during the exhibition period.

More than 150 Russian and foreign companies will present their goods and services on the exhibit space of 16093 sq m at the 2nd Second International Specialized Exhibition Moscow Boat Show. And such widely known brands as Bavaria Yachts, NT Marine, Royal Marine, Alpha-yachts, Silver Boats, Admiral Group, and East Baltic Marine Group, Neptun-Marine, Expert Marine, Boatmarket are among them. The press coverage of the event will be rendered by the leading branch Mass Media: magazines Berega Moskvy (The Moscow Riverside), Luxury-events, Katera i Yakhty (Boats and Yachts), Kapitan-klub (Captain-club), Internet portals Yachta.ru, YachtsWorld.ru, TV company Okean-TV (Ocean-TV) and many others.

Full range of companies professionally engaged in the yachting business and small navigation will participate in the Moscow Boat Show-2009. Yacht-clubs, boat stations, filling stations, piers, industrial, trading, service, insurance companies, financial groups are presented at the expositions. Sailing and motor yachts, inflatable and rowboats, hydrocycles, wakeboards, materials and components for boats and yachts, equipment for mooring, navigation equipment, and goods for leisure will be exhibited at stands. The decision to organize expanded floor space into thematic sectors according to market segments corresponds to global exhibition standards and are positively accepted by the exhibitors.

The unique collection of old boat engines produced in our country deserves special mentioning. The Museum-exposition of rare motors will amaze imagination of both experts and fans of active leisure on water. The demonstration of an unusual submarine intended for individual diving tours promises to become the highlight of the program. This tourist product, absolutely unknown to the world market, is appropriate for extreme tourism; study of local lore and for the Ministry of Emergency Measures purposes. The submarine will be displayed on one of the stands at the exhibition Moscow Boat Show-2009

The project Moscow Boat Show-2009 will provide an opportunity to all fans of active leisure on water to study exhibits in details, to choose the most suitable offers and to all, engaged into yachting business professionally, to conclude commercially favourable contracts.

The show has developed to incorporate topical and rich business and entertainment programs. Various conferences and seminars covering issues related to engineering and legal aspects of small vessels operation, maintenance, repair and equipment. Everybody willing will have an opportunity to take part in open discussions on topics Condition of Russian Yachting, Sailing Cruise - Safety, Comfort, Pleasure, Yachting in Russia or Abroad?, International Rights: Fiction and Truth. New Formats of Yachting Tourism.

During all working days of the exhibition the Federal State Organization Rossiysky Rechnoy Reguistr (Russian River Register) and the State Small Vessels Inspection of the Central Administrative Board of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Russia of the Moscow city will hold consultations and advisory for the proprietors of yachts and boats on issues related to certification and safety of operation of vessels and vessel products

Theoretical tour of the competition Yachting Captain will be held at the exhibition Moscow Boat Show-2009. The competition has been organized by the National Skippers Association for yachting schools' students and nonprofessional skippers with the experience of independent sailing above one year. Future captains will demonstrate their skills in theory and their ability to find a way out of any unconventional and irregular situation.

The most interesting works of the second international photo regatta Yachts! Sea! Enjoinment! will be presented at the yacht-club Green Island stand February 7 - 15, 2009. The contest has been initiated and organized by the Crocus Expo IEC in cooperation with the Yacht-club Green Island agency. Yachtsmen and yachting fans, genuine connoisseur of sea landscapes will share impressions and will help to plunge into unforgettable atmosphere of sailing. Authors of the best photo works of the on-line competition Yachts! Sea! Enjoinment! will be also granted memorable diplomas and valuable prizes

The Press Briefing on the opening of the exhibition Moscow Boat Show - 2009 will take place February 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Crocus Congress Centre (Crocus Expo IEC, Pavilion 3, Upper level). The Official Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition will take place at 12:00 a.m. at the podium of the Exhibition hall 13 of the Pavilion 3 Crocus Expo IEC immediately after the Press Briefing. It is expected that Boris Gromov, Governor of the Moscow region, Alexander Markarov, President of the National Marine Industry Association, Dmitry Zelenin, President of the All-Russian Federation of Sailing Sport and Governor of the Tver region, Vladimir Borovsky, Head of the Moscow River Basin Management of the State Supervision on Inland Transport, Nikolay Djablov, Deputy Chief State Inspector for Small-Size Vessels of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of the Russian Federation, Arcady Zlotnikov, First Deputy Director of the Crocus Expo IEC and other high-ranking visitors will participate in the Official Opening Ceremony.

As opposed to other similar projects part of the revenue from the event holding will be spent on the solution of the problems the branch is facing, namely on training of experts, the solution of issues of standardization, preparation of new statutory acts, and finally, on the improvement of quality of offered services. The exhibition will assist manufacturers and dealers in yachting business to get acquainted with their Russian colleagues, to bring yachting business in our country up to a new level.

The Second International exhibition of boats and yachts Moscow Boat Show-2009 will be open for the visitors daily in the third pavilion Crocus Expo IEC:

  • February 7 through 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. and

  • February 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m.
