Banyuwangi International Yacht Club is an International membership club to promote sailing, yachting and other marine related businesses in Banyuwangi and the rest of East Java, Indonesia. Their membership represents a diverse grouping of professionals, business persons, retirees, and officials, as different as their occupations, backgrounds or families may be, they all should share one common bond a passion for the sea.
The founders of the club are citizens of Russia, Sweden and Indonesia. And it's no coincidence. Historically - the first yacht club in the world was founded in 1718 in Russia in St. Petersburg by decree of Peter 1, in Sweden today there is the fifth largest and one of the world's oldest international yacht club. In turn, Banyuwangi - "Banyu wangi" translated from Indonesian as "aromatic water" - has been the stopping place for transit ships to replenish water for hundreds of years.
Today, Indonesia sees Banyuwangi as the future yacht capital of Southeast Asia.
The clubhouse offers a large dining room with an open kitchen and a large dining terrace that surrounds the club overlooking the Kawah Ljen volcano, Pantai Boom and Yacht for a luxury dining experience. For the sweet tooth a wine room offering fine wines from all over the world. the Club offers fresh fish and meat depending on the season and our Tiki Bar area can offer any cocktail and mocktails you like, with a wide choice of spirits.
The founders invite sponsors, partners, tour operators to cooperate in order to develop the Banyuwangi International Yacht Club together and create a point of attraction for Russians on the other side of the world.
